The Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific

The Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific

The UN Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific, 2015, provides cutting-edge analyses and guides policy discussion on the current and emerging socio-economic issues and policy challenges to support inclusive and sustainable development in the region.

The special theme of ESCAP Survey 2015 will argue that although rapid economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region has been accompanied by significant declines in poverty rates, development is about more than growth and poverty.

Speakers at the launch of the report on Thursday included:

Dr Susan Harris Rimmer, Australian Research Council Future Fellow at the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy, ANU

Professor Mark McGillivray, Research Professor of International Development, Deakin University

Hon Wayne Swan MP, former Treasurer and Deputy Prime Minister of Australia
